Our Services
The home care services we provide include:
Skilled Nursing – consists of physical assessments and observations of disease processes. The skilled nurse will provide instruction to the patient, family members, and/or caregivers. The skilled nurse will instruct disease processes, medication management, and diet/nutrition; and will perform skilled procedures as needed. Skilled nursing services include cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation, diabetes management, and mental health nursing.
Physical Therapy – specializes in improving your ability to move and actively participate in life’s activities by focusing on improving mobility, strengthening programs, range of motion, balance and pain management. After a thorough assessment, the physical therapist will design a functional home based exercise program that will be monitored and modified as you improve.
Occupational Therapy – specializes in helping you to regain your ability to care for yourself in your activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and grooming. The occupational therapist will design a home program that will help you regain your abilities, and this program will be monitored and modified as you improve.
Speech Therapy – specializes in the treatment of speech and language disorders, as well as swallowing disorders. The Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate your current abilities, and design a program that you and your family members will use to assist you in improving your function in these areas.
Home Health Aide Services – alone are not covered by Medicare, but would be available as long as you continue to qualify for SKILLED CARE from a Skilled Nurse or Therapist and assistance of an Aide is required. The primary function of an Aide is to provide assistance with personal hygiene and Activities of Daily Living such as: bathing, dressing, changing bed linens, personal hygiene, etc., during their visit. Housekeeping and homemaker services are not covered by Medicare.
Medical Social Worker – provides assistance in resolving social or emotional problems, which may interfere with the treatment of your medical condition or recovery. They may provide information/referrals to community resources for assistance.
Other services – In addition to medical nursing care and therapy we can facilitate private duty in-home services that include meal preparation and eating assistance, laundry and light housekeeping, shopping and running errands, supervision and companionship, complete personal hygiene care and medication reminders. We also facilitate private care to clients during hospital, nursing home and ALF admissions. A Caring Hand will also provide assistance in obtaining medical equipment and supplies, professional dietary and nutritional instruction, laboratory, and Professional Respiratory Services.
